MIND THE GAP

Grief, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s

If you have ever been to England and taken a train or the Tube, most likely you have heard or seen, “Mind the Gap.”  It’s a warning phrase issued to rail passengers to take caution while crossing the gap between the doorway of the train and the edge of the station platform. They don’t want you to fall in the hole or gap – the British version of “watch your step.”  I have my own version of the “GAP” and it’s an acronym for Grief, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s.  I don’t want you to fall into the abyss or the gap, so I will provide some important information on how many of the Arbonne products can help you with grief, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s Disease.

I will digress a moment.  A few weeks ago, I celebrated my nineteenth year with Arbonne and a few days ago I celebrated my 70th birthday (pictured below).  I’m feeling very wise with my new accelerated age and want to share some memories and wisdom.  I am a certified grief educator, I have all the markers for Alzheimer’s, and I currently have Parkinson’s Disease.

When I started my Arbonne business we were one of the only vegan companies in existence.  Back then the majority of people didn’t even know what vegan was or how to pronounce it.  I am proud to have been a pioneer and teacher educating the masses about the importance of pure, safe, and beneficial products.  I remember after I first joined Arbonne in one year we had an 800%  year-end increase!  People wanted what we had.  I am thrilled that shoppers are now looking for products without toxic cancer-causing chemicals.

I believe we at Arbonne are ready for another explosion as I put my “teacher/trainer” hat back on as it pertains to my personal areas of concern – the GAP:  Grief, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s.  The consensus is that there is no cure for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.  If you Google them you will find out they are brain disorders that get worse over time for which there is no cure.

I have recently read a few startling books detailing verified results of complete reversals or cures of both Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s patients!  The books are:  Reversing Alzheimer’s by Dr. Heather Sandison, The End of Alzheimer’s by Dr. Dale Bredesen, Fighting Parkinson’s and Winning by Howard Shifke, and Shake it Off – Parkinson’s Solutions by Dr. Greg Eckels.  Dr. Eckels was one of the participants in my recent retreat in Mt. Shasta.  I am thrilled to have met him and excited to work with him.

So, what does this have to do with Arbonne?  I am not insinuating that Arbonne cures diseases.  We, like most companies, have a disclaimer.  What I can tell you is how the products have helped me as it pertains to “the GAP” and give you my personal testimonies.

As you might assume, diet plays an integral part in the healing, preventing, and reversing of  Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s according to the authors.  The intermittent fasting (not eating after dinner and waiting 12 or more hours before consuming breakfast) of the ketogenic diet is particularly successful and powerful.  I don’t claim to understand all the science, but getting your body into a state of ketosis burns fat for energy instead of glucose and can be good for the brain.

Benefits of Intermittent Fasting:

  • WEIGHT MANAGEMENT: By limiting your eating window, you will naturally consume less calories.
  • IMPROVED METABOLISM: It can boost your metabolic rate, helping you burn more calories.
  • ENHANCED BRAIN FUNCTION: Studies suggest that fasting may improve brain health and increase the growth of new neurons.
  • LONGEVITY: Some research indicates that intermittent fasting could help you live longer by promoting cellular repair and reducing inflammation.
  • ADRENAL HEALTH: It can help regulate cortisol levels, which supports adrenal health and can reduce stress.
  • GUT HEALTH: Fasting gives your digestive system a break, which can promote gut healing and improve overall digestive health.
  • HORMONE BALANCE: Fasting can help balance insulin levels, which may improve hormone function and sensitivity.
  • LIVER HEALTH: Fasting promotes autophagy, a process where the body cleans out damaged cells, which can improve liver function.
  • MINDFULNESS: Fasting encourages mindful eating and helps you become more aware of hunger cues and eating habits.
  • REVERSE AGING: Some studies suggest fasting can enhance skin health and reduce signs of aging by boosting collagen production and reducing oxidative stress.

I had heard about intermittent fasting, but didn’t really understand what I could eat or if I could eat or when, etc.  So, this is where my testimony comes in.  Arbonne has what I call “the magic box.”  It’s our 7-Day Fresh Start  – and it’s easy!!!  I started the program immediately after the products were introduced on July 3, 2024, and did the 7-day intermittent fasting.  Today is August 20, 2024, and I am still doing the intermittent fasting – because I have been sleeping better (insomnia is also a Parkinson’s symptom), have more energy, more mental clarity, and have been “taking out the trash” every day with the ingenious new included probiotic!  Chronic constipation is one of the issues that comes with Parkinson’s and for the past two years I have tried over fifty products that did not work at all – including a homemade concoction from my Stanford Movement Disorders Neurologist.

This link will tell you everything you need to know about the 7-Day Fresh Start https://secure.smore.com/n/f6qrg7.  The matcha tea has MCT (medium chain triglycerides – coconut) oil which is referenced throughout the books as proven extremely beneficial for memory.  The new Omnigut Daily Probiotic has been in such demand that Arbonne is offering a separate skew (#2138) of a 30-day supply at a retail cost of $65.  The Preferred Client price is $52.00.

During the month of August, Arbonne is offering a no-strings-attached complimentary Preferred Client membership, which is a $29 value.  This entitles you to a 20-40% discount off every order for a year.  With the purchase of the 7-Day Fresh Start you would receive the free membership, a selection of a free gift valued up to $84, free shipping, and the 20% discount.  The retail cost is $160 and the item is #2139.  A 90-day money-back guarantee comes with all the products.  Order at diannedeering.arbonne.com.

The authors of the healing books all agree that your personal care products need to be free of toxic chemicals.  What you put on your skin goes into your bloodstream.  Arbonne has over 2,000 banned ingredients that are not allowed in our products.  We have been adhering to this philosophy for over forty years with our plant-based products.  Arbonne offers clean and effective skincare, body care, hair care, and makeup.  Oh, by the way, we will be debuting an entire brand new mega healthy makeup line next year.  We may even have some preliminary products in our new holiday line this year.  Stay tuned.

I mentioned grief as part of the GAP and I would like to address that.  Grief comes in many forms, not just the death of a loved one.  You might grieve over a diagnosis or loss of health or loss of self.   Many family members who become caregivers for their loved ones are actually grieving their “patient” while they are still alive.  Caregivers are six times more likely to develop dementia themselves compared with people whose spouses did not have dementia.  Stanford Medicine claims there is a 63% higher mortality rate than the non-caregiver.  Forty percent of Alzheimer’s caregivers die before the patient.

Caregiving and grief can throw our normal eating and sleeping habits into the stratosphere.  Not thinking about eating, remembering to eat, or not caring about eating is common. The delicious vegan Arbonne protein shakes make it easy to get the nutrition you need with no fuss.  We have the Essential Meal/Meal Replacement shakes and the Simply1 keto friendly version.  Additionally, we have our EnergyFizz (healthy Red Bull) that was my constant companion during my traumatic grief.  (It also includes the B vitamins that are recommended for Parkinson’s patients.)  It comes in oodles of flavors and with or without caffeine.

When I was deep in grief, I had trouble sleeping.  Arbonne has a healthy SleepWell Vegan Melatonin Spray.  I’ll remind you that there is a 90-day money-back guarantee on everything.  Here is a link to our digital catalog https://epub.arbonne.com/diannedeering/catalogue/ or view the products online at diannedeering.arbonne.com.

Arbonne’s legendary former president, Rita Davenport, said that we at Arbonne were “hope dealers.”  I am claiming that now, I am a Hope Dealer.

Currently there are about 7 million Americans with Alzheimer’s disease.  By 2050 that number is expected to be 13 million.  Parkinson’s is harder to diagnose and the number is guessed to be somewhere between 500,000 and 2 million in the US and expected to rise.  Most often people start “getting” Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s decades before it is diagnosed.  I lost my sense of smell in 2010 which is one of the first signs of Parkinson’s.  I wasn’t diagnosed until 2021.  By then I couldn’t even turn over in bed.

Awareness and preventative measures are key!  I’m inviting you to follow me on my healing journey.  I will be blogging and Zooming about my progress and tell you what’s working for me.  Please share this with anyone who might benefit including caregivers.

Join me for a complimentary 30-minute Zoom date on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 4:00 pm Pacific to learn more about the healthy products that truly could help to change your life along with some alternative lifestyle ideas and a Q & A.   I have a master’s degree in Energy Medicine and am a certified life and grief coach.
