Craig, my “afterlife coach” who died on July 10, 2017, communicated with me every single day for over sixteen months utilizing feathers.  There are hundreds of stories to tell, but I will share the ones that were the most impactful to me.   Being the skeptic and Doubting Thomas that I was, I thought I might be reading more into it than was really there. But after countless feathers materialized when I mentioned Craig’s name or asked him a question, I became a die-hard believer.

For nine months after Craig passed, my daily ritual consisted of a morning walk.  I’d had so many astounding signs from Craig that I just started talking out loud to him and asking him questions while I ambled along.   In the morning I would habitually open the heavy wooden door of my casita (little one room house) where I was staying, and say, “Good morning Craig!  How was heaven last night?”  I would be greeted by a bird circling very low around my head that appeared seemingly out of nowhere.  If no bird materialized there was a large feather on the mat by the door each and every day.

One morning when I embarked on my walking “Conversation with Craig,” there was no bird and no feather when I opened the door.  I panicked.  My biggest fear was that he would “leave” by ascending to the next level in heaven or some such thing, though at the time I didn’t even understand what that meant.  As I traversed along I asked Craig where he was that morning?  Just then a feather  landed on my head.  I cocked my head and noticed hundreds of feathers lying on the green grass under a stately tree.  There was not a bird in sight.  I took a picture.

One steamy evening while I was walking through the neighborhood “talking to Craig,” I saw a group of large noisy crows flying overhead.  When I looked up I noticed that the wings of one of the crows was turning red right before my eyes.  This was too much.  I dismissed it as being too tired and told myself that I was hallucinating and forgot all about it.   The very next day on my walk, having forgotten about the red-winged crow, I found a giant red feather right where I had spotted the questionable bird the night before.  I had been deliberating about whether to go to Detroit or not.  The Detroit Red Wings is the name of the beloved Michigan hockey team, so I took that to be a definitive yes and went for a transformative visit to my home state of Michigan.

Because of our strong connection to the gym, it was not surprising to me that Craig would send me powerful signs there.  One day I was the last person to arrive at a Barre workout class.  There was one spot left in the center of the room. I rushed to the middle of the room as I finished asking Craig a question.  As I claimed my spot and set my water bottle down, there was a gigantic white feather right there on the hardwood floor just waiting for me.  It made me smile.  All the signs from Craig always lifted my spirits.

When I arrived back at the Palm Springs airport after taking a trip to Santa Rosa, California, I approached the crowded arrivals area and was surprised to notice there was only one person holding up a sign. Usually there are all kinds of limo drivers or tour operators with various signs thrust in the air.  The single sign had one word on it: Craig.  I assumed he was welcoming me home.  I wheeled my little suitcase to my parked car. I placed my suitcase on the empty front seat of my snazzy little convertible and drove home.  I grabbed my luggage when I arrived home and noticed there was a large white feather on the seat.   There was also a white feather on the mat in front of my casita door.

It has been said that one of the ultimate signs that angels are with you, is finding a feather.  Coming across a feather in your path, or finding a feather in an unexpected place is thought by many to be a message from the angels.

Supposedly, the most common feather sent from angels is white and is apparently a sign of faith and protection and that they are near.  It can also represent an angel telling you that loved ones in heaven are safe and well.

Purportedly a red feather represents courage, strength, stability and good fortune. If you’ve been going through a difficult time, your angels could send a red feather to  comfort to let you know how strong you are.

Please share you “feather” stories below.  You can check out how Craig communicated with me via electronics  and shopping carts  in earlier blogs.  Stay tuned next week for motorcycle mania!

I love this. Thank you Di.
When I was young, we had signs from my Grandmother, she was the first of several.

I remember you telling me that before I started having my own experiences. Thanks for sharing!
